Meet Our Founder
Pascale Mapleston
CEO, The Benefit Code
Pascale has almost three decades of experience in the health insurance industry has a reputation for disrupting a very traditional benefit space. She founded Benefit Code in 2012 after becoming discouraged at the quality of health insurance being offering in the industry and knowing she could do better for the companies and the employees she represented.
Pascale is not afraid to drive change. Whether it’s introducing new ideas to incorporate science and technology into health benefits or using wellness storytelling to increase plan engagement and improve health, Pascale is continually looking for innovative ways to create healthier work cultures.
As a certified Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) member, Pascale is also unique in the market as a female lead in a traditionally male dominated space. Pascale is known for her innovative spirit and big picture vision.
Pascale’s lifelong passion for sports, and in particular basketball, led her to found and lead the charity Foundation for Access to Basketball (FABB). It serves communities and provides individuals with the opportunity to participate in sports with the vision that opportunity creates opportunity. FABB operates through the OVBABO organization, which is referee association in Ottawa.
